Dr. Scott Reid finished high school in Illinois before being accepted and starting studies at the University of Guelph undergraduate program at the age of 17 in 1981. He was fortunate to be accepted into the Ontario Veterinary College after his first year and graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1987. He is  married to a saint named Fenella. They met on the first day at the University of Guelph in a moment of great serendipity. 

He and his wife have been blessed with three wonderful children. They also have two cats and two horses.
